application for on-water classroom program

Thank you for your interest in the Rocking the Boat's On-Water Classroom Program, a customized multiple-session program for middle and high school groups. The program offers students and teachers the opportunity to use the Bronx River as their classroom while rowing Rocking the Boat's handmade wooden boats.

Due to the generosity of CITGO, Toyota USA Foundation, JPMorgan Chase, and The Charles Hayden Foundation, Rocking the Boat is proud to offer On-Water Classroom Programs free of charge to all New York City Public School groups. If you are not representing a New York City Public School, but are interested in enrolling your class in an On-Water Classroom Program, please complete this form and we will follow up with pricing information.

Our goal is to work collaboratively with teachers to design between three and six intensive On-Water Classroom programs each semester. We do receive more applications than we have space for, and base our choices on the level of commitment that schools are able to demonstrate. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please respond to each of the following questions and click on the submit button at the bottom of the page.
