youth development program
Wooden boatbuilding and water-based programs help underserved youth build self-confidence and skills to finish high school, maintain healthy relationships, and create bright futures.

Paid Apprenticeships give youth the opportunity to learn advanced carpentry and environmental science skills while being trained in professionally-oriented life skills.

Every Saturday afternoon from May through September, Rocking the Boat brings its boats down to the Bronx River waterfront at Hunts Point Riverside Park to offer free rowing to the public.

Custom-built to allow participants to grow as a team and put academic learning into practice, Rocking the Boat's On-Water Group Programs offer co-workers, students, and teachers a one-of-a-kind experience on the Bronx River aboard a fleet of hand-built wooden boats.
