Rocking the Boat participates in collecting data for NY/NJ Baykeeper’s Oyster Gardening project. The goal of the project is to understand oyster growth and mortality in various areas throughout the NY Harbor and use this data to locate possible future sites for oyster habitat restoration projects. The Program Assistants are outfitting the cage that will hold 500 oysters and deploying it at the mouth of the Bronx River.
